“I can hear you smiling.” Val remarked.
“You can’t hear smiles.” Lori retorted, her smile definitely audible now.
“Can too.” Val chuckled.
The pair walked for over twenty minutes more, they were deep in the forest now. Yet in spite of how far out they were, Lori couldn’t help but feel like she knew where they were. She looked about with her keen warden eyes, reading the land and beginning to remember some of the natural formations of the trees and the landscape. They were more overgrown now but certainly the same place. As she opened her mouth to speak on it to Val, they moved into a small clearing that she recognized.
”Here we are. The old make out spot.” Val said with a smile, turning her beautiful buxom form to face her partner. Her shapely body wobbling in all the right places.
”Wow, it’s been how long since we were here? two hundred years?” Lori asked, her hand finding the small carvings of her and Val’s younger self gently on the surface of a tree. There was even her old bandana wrapped around a branch, still where she left it after two hundred years.
